The Ice Kitchen serves rolled ice cream + stumptown coffee + lifestyle dry goods in a community centric gathering space. 

Hey I'm Daniel! My company, The Ice Kitchen, has come out of years of working to pursue my passion of creating a community centric gathering place offering my favorite desserts and other things: ice cream + coffee + lifestyle dry goods. 

I have had the privilege of living a unique lifestyle of being an immigrant from South Korea to Virginia. It was a massive culture shock, but it taught me a lot of good lessons and I cherish every little opportunity that came along with it. 

Moving from Virginia to Chicago for college was another huge transition, but I got to taste what it was like to live in a big city and was inspired by the beautiful things Chicago had to offer. 

After college, I moved to New York City to learn about restaurants/cafes and coffee culture. I worked in a cute Australian cafe and helped my friend start a restaurant as a general manager. NYC was unique and I encourage everyone to go and explore it, but it wasn't where I wanted to start a business. 

I moved down to Atlanta in March of 2016 and started dreaming of opening up my own shop offering coffee, lifestyle dry goods, and something else.  Back then, I had no idea what that something else was, but soon it all made sense. 

My friends and I always went to ice cream shops, like more than 3 times a week. I would even wake up at 3 in the morning and crave coffee ice cream. So I started out on an adventure with my friends to go to every ice cream shop in a 30+ mile radius of Atlanta. 

One day we walked into a somewhat popular rolled ice cream shop we found on yelp and we were marked by disappointment. The store was lifeless and gloomy, and the people who were serving the ice cream didn't seem like they wanted to be there. It was a huge store, but didn't have much to offer. In that moment, eating stale tasting coffee ice cream, everything clicked. I wanted to roll my own ice cream and use real espresso shots, plus other high quality ingredients to develop my own flavors. 

Now here it is. Months of research into the industry, developing flavors, store designing, and meeting people have helped this passion come to life.

Catering
 

We want to make your event extra special. We cater rolled ice cream and/or coffee for anything from small private events to large weddings. Just simply fill out this form and we will be in touch with you soon! How cool is it to have rolled ice cream at your event to "wow!" your guests?

*Important information + terms and conditions: 

- Minimum of 6ft x 6ft space required for the stand 
- Dedicated 110v outlet (no power strips) within 25ft of the ice cream stand 
- 50% (non-refundable) of total price due at the time of booking.
- Cancellation within 7 days of the event will incur a 100% charge of the arrangements to date including ordered, prepared food and rostered staff. 
- Final payment is due 7 days prior to the event. 
- No travel fee for 20 miles from Kennesaw, GA($15/extra 10 miles) 
- Due to the fluctuating cost of food items, quoted price will be valid for 15 days until booking
- Valid parking at the venue must be available 
- Loading/unloading zone must be available within reasonable distance of the entrance 
- If the event space is not on ground level, an elevator/ramp must be available for equipment transportation 
- The venue must be accessible 1 hour before and after the event for set-up and take-down 
- If clean hot and cold water source is not available, we must be notified at the time of booking
